The construction industry is facing increasing pressure to reduce its environmental impact and concrete production is a significant contributor to global carbon emissions As such there is a growing interest in the development of sustainable concrete technologies This paper examines the use of industrial byproducts agricultural waste fibers and recycled materials in concrete production focusing on their potential to improve both the mechanical properties and environmental sustainability of concrete Additionally the integration of machine learning techniques to optimize concrete mix designs and predict concrete properties is explored Case studies on the use of sustainable materials in extreme environments including Martian soil for extraterrestrial construction are also discussed The findings suggest that while significant progress has been made there are still challenges to overcome in terms of longterm durability scalability and the standardization of alternative materials
